1. Elafonisi

Elafonisi with its pink sands is one of the most popular beaches in Crete. It is located 75 km southwest of Chania. The road is narrow and winding in the last 5 km, but the view is worth it. Parking is available next to the beach (5 EUR).

2. Balos

The lagoon of Balos is magnificent. It is located 55 km west of Chania. The road is dirt (7 km) and requires attention – a SUV from JK Tours is ideal. Alternatively, you can take the ferry from Kissamos.

3. Preveli

Preveli is unique: a palm forest that reaches the sea. It is located 35 km south of Rethymno. The parking is high up and you have to go down by stairs (15 minutes).

4. Seitan Limania

A small beach with crystal clear waters, 22 km east of Chania. The road leading down is winding and steep – drive slowly and carefully.

5. Agiofarango

Agiofarago beach is located at the end of a gorge, 75 km south of Heraklion. Park at the parking lot and walk 20 minutes through the gorge to get there.

6. Xerokampos

A quiet beach in eastern Crete, 130 km from Heraklion. The journey is long but worth it. Few tourists, clear water, and an authentic Cretan atmosphere.

7. Bathroom

Loutro is not accessible by car, but you can drive to Chora Sfakion (73 km from Chania) and take the ferry (30 minutes). The beauty of the village is unique.
